I am Dr. Özkan DEMIRBAS, born in Ereğli, Konya, in the year 1976. I would like to extend a warm welcome to you as you explore my academic and professional journey.
- 1976: Born in Ereğli, Konya.
- 1987-1993: Completed primary, secondary and high school education in Ereğli.
- 1998: Graduated from the University of Balıkesir (BAUN) with a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry Education from the Faculty of Necatibey Education.
- 2001: Successfully attained a Master’s degree in Chemistry from the Institute of Natural and Applied Sciences at BAUN.
- 2006: Accomplished a Ph.D. in Chemistry, also from the Institute of Natural and Applied Sciences at BAUN.
My journey into the world of academia and chemistry continued to evolve:
- 2006: Began my academic career as an Assistant Professor at BAUN, Faculty of Science and Literature, Department of Chemistry, specializing in Physical Chemistry.
- 2008: Earned the title and authority of Associate Professor through extensive academic work and a rigorous oral examination conducted by the University Academic Qualifications Committee (UAK).
- 2009: Embarked on my role as an Associate Professor at BAUN, Faculty of Science and Literature, Department of Chemistry, specializing in Physical Chemistry.
- 2014: Elevated to the esteemed position of full Professor within the same department.
Presently, I hold the esteemed position of Professor at the University of Balıkesir, Faculty of Science and Literature, Department of Chemistry, specializing in Physical Chemistry.
Throughout my academic journey, I have been dedicated to the pursuit of scientific knowledge, the mentorship of aspiring scholars, and the advancement of research in Physical Chemistry. My research interests and contributions to the field continue to drive my passion for academia.
